Mike Ferris

EVP, Credit Protection

Michael (Mike) Ferris joined Life of the South, now Fortegra, in September 1994 through its acquisition of the Credit Insurance business from Independent Insurance Group. Named Executive Vice President in 2026, Mr. Ferris leads Sales, Underwriting and Product Management for the company's Credit/Debt Protection and Lender-Placed/Investor businesses. Earlier in his career, he held positions in field sales and account management and served as a product line business unit leader. Mr. Ferris earned a B.S. in Accounting from Jacksonville University in December 1982 and began his insurance career with Independent Insurance Group in February 1983.
